Armstrong Angel Lyndon has been
sponsoring John for a few months. He will be 3 years old on 28th
September. As of today she has added the Armstrong Angels to his
sponsor details. John is from Jong which is located in the Bonthe
region of southern Sierra Leone.
- Sierra Leone has a population of 4.6 million and the life expectancy is just 34 years.
- 182 of every 1000 children die before their fifth birthday.
- 57% of the population live on less than 50p a day.
Sponsorship schemes like this one help children like John to gain an
education. John loves to play with toys, he loves going to school, he
loves to play football, his special job at home is babysitting.
John is the most beautiful little boy and the Angels will be able to
write to him and in return will receive information about how he is
getting on and he even adds his own drawings to the letters written for him which are passed on to lyndon and now of course to all of us.
Sponsoring John is part of a World Vision programme. They work in four
areas of the Jong region with a population of over 15,000 people
benefiting.
You can find out all about John on the forum
lyndon has kindly shared with the Angels the letters she has so far
received from John [obviously they are written for him by an adult].
The following is information taken from the letters.
- John lives in a mud hut with a thatch roof
- John attends a Roman Catholic primary school
- John lives in a community where cassava and rice are mainly grown
- John wants to be a lawyer
- John loves school because he learns new things and is able to play with his friends

We will be sending John cards in anticipation of his third birthday this September. Please join us in this.
Many thanks to Lyndon for allowing us the priviledge of sharing in Johns sponsorship.
