April 23rd - LA Fangoria Convention

Clive Barker will be previewing Book of Blood at the convention on April 26th. Fingers crossed that news will filter through from this.

April 23rd - Book of Blood out in 2009?

Springtime  found an interview with Clive Barker in which he says the film will be out this time next year.

THE WILDCLAW (Theatre Website)
CLIVE BARKER INTERVIEW

Tuesday, March 4, 2008
Interviewer: Charlie Athanas

In the interview Clive says:

I'm heading to London to help with the final week of shooting for The Book of Blood, the original story from the first book, which we’ve made and is just knockout. It’s killer. And we’ll shoot that and then hopefully have that out by this time next year.

On a positive note Clive Barker thinks this film is a knockout and theres no greater compliment than that :-)

NB: Blood was in post production Feb time so it does look as if it won't be released until early 2009.

April 20th - BAFTAS

Jonas was a no-show at the BAFTAS on Sunday night. We realise that some fansites are still stating that he was presenting but we can assure you that he was not there. He was scheduled to appear which is why the BAFTA website had him on their list of presenters but main line railway delays meant he couldn't be there in time.

April 20th - Robin Hood in Latin America

With thanks to Mari for this news. RH S2 will air in Latin America this May.

April 14th - NMTB repeat 17th April

Never Mind The Buzzcocks is being repeated on BBC2 at 10pm on Thursday 17th April. So if you missed out on Jonas' smugness and delightful peanut butter anecdote the first time round here's your chance to see it :-)

April 12th - TV Now Awards Dublin 12th April

Jonas accompanied Sammy Winward to the awards bash. She was nominated for best Soap Actress at the TV Now Awards in Dublin.

April 11th - Convention Video

Special thanks to our Aussie Angel mtuser who has excelled herself with the video she has produced to advertise the Convention. When I approached her and asked that she make a video to the tune of Robbie's Angels and that it was for convention, I wasn't prepared for the masterpiece she would produce. It's the kind of video that has you smiling all the way through. It's a feel good Jonas vid and the best I've seen in almost two years of doing this job.

Big Cheer for the lovely Lisa - xxxx

April 10th - Dominic Minghella leaves Robin Hood

A member of the JAF forum received a letter from Dominic in which he says  that he genuinely doesn't know how Series 3 is shaping up - and he know's filming is due to begin any time now but he has had nothing to do with it -

"we will just have to see what Foz Allan and the team come up with - I have every faith - ' - Quote from Dominic

April 9th - World of Robin Hood repeat

This was first shown in 2006 and will be repeated on BBC4 Monday 14th April at 7.30pm. It contains interviews with Jonas.
With thanks to Judi who brought this to us yesterday. Problems with the galleries meant there was a delay in it being posted here.

April 7th - BBC Drama Faces

Clickie - Drama Faces Page

Could you please email  the BBC at the Contact details shown in the linked page above and ask why Jonas - the actor who plays Robin Hood - doesn't have a page?
They told Whittsend that they are no longer updating the BBC Drama Faces web page but we happen to think they should to ensure that Jonas is on there. He does play the lead in one of their prime time shows after all.

Thankyou
Lucky & Katie

April 4th - Keith Allen on This Morning

Keith told the This Morning programme that  Robin Hood may run to 5 seasons but  he said that it was too early for cast confirmations. Please remember that it's always difficult to know when Keith is being serious or not - it's all part of his charm :-)
Please also bear in mind that Jonas has been quoted as saying he planned to hang up his boots after three seasons.
Keith also said that filming of S3 was due to begin in 4 weeks time. Jonas had Book of Blood wrapped up by February so we really couldn't comment as to why filming has been delayed until May. Autumn in the UK runs between October and December so an air date of Autumn 2008 may not mean October. But again this is all speculation on our part and until the BBC/Tiger Aspect decide to make an official statement - which seems unlikely - we are as much in the dark about a S3 air date as you all are.

April 3rd - UK DVD Release Date Autumn 08

A member of JAF has received an email from the BBC Shop stating that the UK DVD of S2 will be released this Autumn. The DVD has already been released in Australia and will be released in the U.S.A this July. We have no idea why the UK are having to wait until the Autumn. Once again, if you have queries about this it's best that you direct them to the BBC.

April 3rd - Email from BBC

A lovely lady Harriet sent us this email on Jonas.net. She contacted the BBC querying the air date of Series 3. This was their reply.

Dear Harriet

Thanks for your recent e-mail regarding 'Robin Hood'.

I can confirm that 'Robin Hood' will be returning in 2008 although, at this moment, we do not have information about the specific date when this will be broadcast.

Regards

BBC Information

NB: This news item has caused fans to contact us with rumours they have heard via other forums relating to S3 of RH being delayed until 2009.  All that we can do is report what is fact and if the BBC send out emails confirming S3 will air in the United Kingdom this year then we have to accept that. We cannot presume that they are lying to fans. The article relating to Merlin replacing Robin Hood this  Autumn was in a newspaper and not supported by an official statement from the BBC or Tiger Aspect. As we're sure you understand we are in a very difficult position. We do not wish to mislead fans but due to the BBC/TA being less than forthcoming we have to base our information on fact and not on speculation.

You could of course email Tiger Aspect and the BBC to ask for confirmation. If you hear back from them then please let the rest of us know :-)
