"Onwards and Upwards" always sticks in my mind when I think about In Yer Space - that was our 'motto' and to harness that belief in oneself and the group from an early age can only be a positive thing. Colin Snell has created an environment which I, for one, felt comfortable in which to test and explore and not be hindered by embarrassment or the worry of failure. If something i.e a choice of character didn't work, then scrap it, I don't believe you, try something new, don't be afraid. This feeds the idea that for an actor to grow and develop, practical criticism and acceptance of it is essential. That theory, I believe was instilled in us. I don't know where I'd be today without the belief in "Onwards and Upwards".
