The holiday of a lifetime
becomes the journey from hell for two young women in Losing Gemma (2 x
70 minutes), a suspense packed drama based on the best
selling book by Katy Gardner.
Unlikely travel partners Esther (Alice Eve – The
Rotters’ Club) and Gemma (Rachel Leskovac – Holby
City) are thrown together when their mutual friend has an
accident on the eve of their trip. Adventurous loner Esther hopes to
part company once in India, but needy Gemma is terrified of travelling
alone. Gemma is befriended by an exotic couple and persuades a
reluctant Esther to join them on their travels. Events spiral out of
control when Gemma disappears and Esther is accused of murder.
Also starring Jason Flemyng (Layer Cake) and Jonas Armstrong (Robin
Hood; Teachers), Losing Gemma is produced by ITV Production.
